Major improvements for PDF to Word and PDF to Excel online conversion services

As you may already know, we’ve been doing some behind-the-scenes work to the conversion infrastructure for our popular PDF to Word and PDF to Excel sites, to handle the ever-growing number of conversion requests we’ve been receiving – currently, around a million conversions per month!

Today, we’re going to go into a little detail as to exactly what we’ve done, and how these improvements will affect you.

Users of PDF to Word and PDF to Excel may have experienced delays over the past few weeks while submitting files for conversion. In November, we received over 900,000 conversion requests – in peak-time, a request to our server every 1.5 seconds!

We’d like to take this opportunity to apologize for any inconvenience – our intention is to provide you with the fastest, most accurate conversion you’ll find anywhere – and that, is exactly what we’re doing!

Over the past few months, we’ve completely rebuilt the entire document conversion system. Everything except the conversion software itself is has been replaced, ranging from all-new request-queue management software to the installation of brand new, high performance servers, giving us the capacity to handle all the conversions you can send our way.

What does this mean for you? Faster, more reliable conversions and no more delays when receiving your file, while still being able to enjoy the most accurate PDF conversion technology available, absolutely free.

Of course, we can talk about this all day, but why not head to PDF to Word, or PDF to Excel and see for yourself?

Well I tryied to use the online PDF to Excel yesterday and have yet to get anything back. Also, none of my comments showed up this blog.

Today I downloaded nitropdf pro, and tryied to convert a "simple IRS form" to Excel and the results were unusable.

I must be doing something very wrong.

  • Neil,

You're trying to convert an IRS form to Excel? Can you tell me why you're
    trying to do that?

Our converter just doesn't convert anything to Excel, it's a little more
intelligent than than that. It will first look through the PDF file for
tabular data, and if it finds some will extract it to an Excel file. So,
typically I wouldn't expect an IRS form to include many tables of data. I
would suggest converting it back to Word.

You can do this with Nitro Pro or at our www.pdftoword.com service.

Before I use the conversion tool, I am a little concerned at the security risks at uploading sensitive documents via the pdf convertor. Please advise
  • Please see here for details -> http://www.pdftoword.com/privacy.htm

The same PDF to Word technology is found in our Nitro PDF Professional
desktop software if you want to avoid using the free online service.
  • The million a month conversions point is one serious milestone. Your services rock, and I've been highly recommending it to all my friends and associates.

I've been having hassles with my comments getting moderated. Is there any specific reason for this?

    Regards
