Nitro PDF Software is Windows 7 ready

Nitro PDF Professional and Microsoft Windows 7Windows 7 is just about to be released, with October 22 the official launch day.

Those of you using our desktop-based products and planning to upgrade soon will be pleased to know that our latest versions are fully compatible. Nitro PDF Professional 6 and PrimoPDF 5 are ready right now, while the new, fully-compatible Nitro PDF Express 2.0 is coming very soon (stand by for that).

How to install Nitro Pro and Primo on Windows 7

  1. Deactivate your Nitro Pro license. (See here for how to deactivate automatically & manually.)
  2. Upgrade or install a new version of Windows 7.
  3. Download the latest version of Nitro PDF Professional 6 or PrimoPDF 5, install it, and you’re ready to go.

    What about Snow Leopard on Mac?

    We migrated to Mac because of its true stability but there is no product as well as Nitro to be installed and run in a Mac.

    It's a shame we need to have a virtual machine with windows inside the Mac to be able to run our license of Nitro...

    We think you should do something about it

    Nitro Pro on the Mac. It's not on our roadmap at this point in time, but
    that doesn't mean it's not on our mind.

    It's no small project to port Nitro Pro to Mac, and needs to be the market
    there before we would proceed. Preview keeps on adding some of the core PDF
    related tools we sell in Nitro Pro, so what's stopping Apple adding more and
    more stuff that we would try and charge for?

    An interesting debate to be had :-)
