Nitro PDF Professional 5.3 now ready for free download

Nitro PDF Professional 5.3 has been out a few days now and the feedback has been great. Thanks!

The Nitro PDF team spent many long days and nights working through the bugs and performance-improvement requests we received from users, and thanks to this feedback we’ve made Nitro Pro a much better product – Nitro Pro 5.3 now officially ‘rocks’. But we didn’t just stop there, on our days and nights ‘off’, we also managed to introduce a bunch of new-and-improved features (see below for more).

If you’re an existing Nitro PDF Professional 5 user, the free update is ready for you to download. To get it, either go to the ‘Check for Updates’ feature in the Nitro PDF Professional application, or visit the updates page on the Nitro PDF site.

New features:

Image editing
Extending on our basic image editing tools (resizing, rotating, deleting, etc.), you can now flip, extract, replace, crop, and do precise resizing. To adjust image properties use the brightness, contrast, color space and resolution settings.

Exporting
The exporting engine has been overhauled, meaning faster and more accurate converting. PDFs can now be exported for re-purposing in Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, OpenOffice and more. An Export Text and Images feature lets you extract all text and images in the one go.

Bates numbering
Now apply your Bates numbers across an entire collection of files in the one task.

CJK and CE font support
Full built-in support for Chinese, Korean, Japanese (CJK) and Central European (CE) fonts.

Commenting tools
Text Box and Call Out commenting tools for text-based feedback.

Enhanced help and ‘Getting Started’ help
The user guide has been expanded, and for new or inexperienced users, the new Getting Started guide can step you through the task from start to finish.

Repair damaged files
Repair poorly created PDF files that other viewers may not be able to open.

I decided to buy Nitro PDF instead of Adobe Acrobat because it was so much cheaper. I am so thankful I did. It can do everything I need it for. I have been able to convert all of my files to pdf format and it offers many advanced tools that I dont’ even use.
