Nitro PDF Professional v6.1: New features and faster than ever before

Some of our users may have been prompted to update their version of Nitro Pro in the last few days. Those who already have may have spotted a few new features (including all-new PDF-to-image conversion) and noticed a few more subtle tweaks – it’s now faster and lighter.

We encourage everyone to update, and it’s free for existing users!

New Features

The most obvious inclusion is PDF to Image conversion; facilitating one-click conversion of your PDF files into PNG, JPEG, and TIFF format – perfect for users bound by compliance requirements, or simple repurposing of content.

Users can access this feature from within the Create and Convert tab, shown below:

Nitro Pro 6.1 also allows users to attach to PDF files via the print dialog (using the NitroPDF Creator print driver) – just click Print, select Nitro PDF Creator as the printer, and you’ll be prompted to append to an existing file if desired.

Enhancements and Improvements

Nitro Pro 6.1 also includes some under-the-hood tweaks – ranging from added PDFcreation horsepower through to decreased memory usage.

Key improvements include:

Significant faster creation from MS Office-based formats with intelligent identification and retention of bookmarks and links
Reduced output file-size when using page assembly features (split/merge/combine/etc.)
Reduced application memory usage
