Creating PDF files directly from your scanner

As you may have noticed, we recently released Nitro PDF Professional OCR, adding the  functionality of Optical Character Recognition to our flagship product. Users of Nitro Pro who haven’t made the switch can still digitize and archive their paper documents, with improvements to Scan-to-PDF functionality in the most recent update (6.0.2.6).

Nitro Pro provides you with an easy way to convert your paper documents to digital form for easier storage and access. Depending on the type of scanner you have, you will be able to convert pages one at a time, or do whole collections of pages in the one process. If you need to, you can also merge documents as you go to create the one complete PDF document.

To scan paper documents to PDF:

  1. On the Create and Convert tab, in the Create group, click From Scanner .
  2. In the Create PDF From Scanner dialog, select your scanner, the sheets to scan, image compression, and then specify the destination.
  3. Click Scan to open your default scanning software.
  4. Select the mode of scanning—color, grayscale, or monochrome/black-and-white.
  5. Select the menu command to return to Nitro PDF Professional.
  6. Select the Finish option to end your scanning job, or select Scan front of sheet two to continue scanning.

How do you edit a PDF File? Also, how do you register?

    Hello,

I didn't see a “contact” section, so I am just going to ask here to have someone contact me.

Our company is trying to find a solution for having our customers fill in information online (pdf format) than have the file sent to us where we can take it and print it. We are printers.

I'm not sure if this software has the ability to do what we need it to, but am curious to learn more.

    please email!

Is there a fix for this problem?

I am trialling NitroPDF Pro. It works quite well, however it is really annoying having to go through the above 6 steps every time I want to scan a document to PDF. For nearly every scan I do I am selecting the same options. Is there a way to set these up as defaults and cut out some repetitive steps, please? Perhaps by command line?
